Mental health symptoms rarely exist in a straight line.
Anxiety may be connected to trauma. Depression may be tied to grief, substance use, isolation, or long-term stress. Mood instability may affect relationships, work, and daily functioning. Many clients arrive unsure what diagnosis fits. They simply know life has become harder to manage.
At HBH, treatment begins with a comprehensive assessment. We look at symptoms, history, risk, strengths, support systems, relationships, daily functioning, and goals before recommending a level of care.
The goal is not to fit you into a preset track. The goal is to design care around what you actually need.
Many clients experience more than one concern at the same time. Our model is built to treat the full picture.
If a higher level of care is needed, our team will help clarify the next appropriate step.
Treatment is structured, private, and connected to real life.
Flagship Program
IIP
Our signature level of care: a highly customized, high-intensity plan built around the individual rather than a template. Informed by ASAM levels of care but far more personalized, IIP moves through three structured phases, stepping intensity down as stability builds.
Most Structured
(PHP)
Our most structured standard level, with intensive programming multiple hours per day, several days per week, while living at home.
Flexible
(IOP 3-Day)
A three-day schedule that balances meaningful treatment with work, school, and family responsibilities.
Intensive
(IOP 5-Day)
Focused therapy five days per week for clients stepping down from PHP or who need consistent daily structure.
Continuing Care
(OP)
Lower-intensity weekly support for maintenance, relapse prevention, and sustained long-term growth.
Mental health treatment has to work outside the therapy room.
Because HBH is outpatient, clients can practice new skills in the environments where they need them most: home, work, school, relationships, and community. This allows treatment to stay connected to real challenges as they happen.
Our Houston Heights setting is private, calm, and intentionally designed for adults seeking care that feels both clinically serious and emotionally safe.
